This blog explains about how to register a Google Voice Number and make a free calls to USA
- Create your google account, Specify some US address during registration
- Login to your gmail account
- Opem - www.google.com/voice
- Click on 'Get a Voice Number" link
- You will see below screen shot, check 'I Accept''' and click on Proceed
- Click on 'I want ..'
- Here you must give one active US Number, that you may know anybody who has US Phone Number already
Once you click on 'Continue' above step, They will get a call and they need to enter the two digit code
- Here you can find your own choice of number based on given criteria.
- Once you got the Google voice number, then you will see option as shown below - www.google.com/voice
Click on 'Call' , Enter US Phone Number, Choose 'Hangouts' then click on 'Connect'
this will make a call.
If you want to make a call from your Gmail Chat window, Install below plug in on your machine, don't forget to restart your machine after you install below plug in on your computer

You will see the phone icon on your chat window as shown below
By clicking on above phone icon, you will see dial pad as shown below
